Presentations and versions work together to organize your PowerPoint files.

The Basic Concept

Think of it like this:
  • Presentation = The project or document (like “Q4 Deck”)
  • Version = Snapshots of that document at different points in time (like “Version 1: Initial draft”, “Version 2: After first review”)

What Gets Saved in a Version

Each version stores:
  • The complete PowerPoint file (all slides, formatting, images, charts, animations, speaker notes)
  • All comments associated with that version
This means:
  • Versions are independent. Changing one doesn’t affect others
  • You can quickly switch between versions of the same presentation
